Role Purpose

The Strategic Sales Planning role is a critically important role and has a number of key objectives:

  • Enable the Global Head of Sales Marketing and Client Engagement to work most effectively by providing key management information
  • Manage internal budgets
  • Interface with internal and external stakeholders and the business objective
  • Deliver on key projects and strategic initiatives, including integrations
  • Run the sales operations function

The role is a strategic and facilitative one that requires a combination of focus and flexibility, the role requires a resourceful individual with excellent emotional intelligence, self-motivation, and strong analytical skills.

Role Duties

The role has responsibility for the operation of the global sales function a summary duties are included below:

  • Managing the sales operation and sales planning function of ISD
  • Managing the planning and allocation of global sales targets for Information Services - including revenue synergies.
  • Providing a point of support for the Global Sales team for queries and issues
  • Maintaining managing and administering the Information Services commission plans to all sales staff to all budgets.
  • Providing business case support on pre acquisition negotiations
  • Managing the integration of sales teams post acquisition
  • The ISD instance of the Group Salesforce system, maintaining licences and system development plan.
  • Undertaking all sales and revenue synergy reporting for ISD division
  • Managing all budgets for the Global Head of Sales Marketing and Client Engagement – including, T&E, Commission, recruitment, BAU.
  • Acting as the key interface for the function to all internal department, Finance HR, Legal, Strategy, Corporate Finance.
  • Managing the Sales training process for ISD sales teams
  • Managing the ISD KYC process to ensure all customers are sufficiently screened.
  • Providing PMO support to the GRP programme to deliver group synergies in revenue.
  • Owning, maintaining and developing all Sales processes within ISD and ensuring they are fit for purpose.

The role holder is also required to:

  • Be flexible and is willing to perform varying duties depending on the shifting needs of the company and its staff members
  • Consider the global impact of any process and procedural issues
  • Coordinate a number of projects or commitments simultaneously and ensuring alignment among the often disparate stakeholders
  • Participates in strategic initiatives by leading them and reporting results back to the Global Head of Sales Planning
