The position

As Project Controller you are part of the finance team in the Netherlands and you are responsible for setting up, implementing and managing the Finance and Control of projects, on site and in the office.We count on you when it comes to setting up, implementing and managing the Finance and Control aspects of projects. We count on you when it comes to setting up, implementing and managing "finance & control" aspects for your projects. Together with the rest of the team you will ensure that there is reliable cash management, the project administration can stand any test of criticism, thorough and timely financial reports are published and the various audits are meticulously managed. You are in the middle of the unit and therefore the project managers and the rest of the team can come to you with their questions. Your responsibilities

  • Your focus in the first year is on managing and controlling the (financial) administration and progress of the various projects. The activities that come with this are, amongst others:Act as financial sparring partner of the project managers and the project teams.
  • Provide financial and management reports.
  • Monitor and report on project progress.
  • Manage accounting through the Financial Shared Service Center.
  • Performing solicited and unsolicited ad-hoc analyses and reviews.
  • Liquidity management, preparing cash flow forecasts and managing foreign exchange risks.
  • Manage audits on the projects.

During this year, you will be prepared to work in the international pool. This means that, as a Project Controller, you will be deployed on challenging projects all over the world.

Job requirements

  • You will be working on multiple projects in different phases. In doing so, you know how to set priorities, plan and organize and have a flexible work attitude. At the same time, after the first year, you are expected to work on projects abroad. This means that you have to be prepared to be away from home on a rotational basis for a longer period of time.Furthermore, you bring:BSc degree in Business Economics, Business Administration or similar;
  • recently graduated or maximum 1 year of working experience;
  • affinity with the Maritime and/or Civil sector;
  • good command of the English language, both verbally and writing;
  • strong communication and social skills;
  • flexible, results-oriented, independent and driven;
  • EU-citizenship, living already in The Netherlands.
