Internship Procurement Communications (Non-Thesis)

We are not able to support you with a thesis. For this reason, we require a 5 days per week availability to work on the projects.

And be part of the Procurement Communication team. Philips Procurement is undergoing a transformation to accelerate growth and improve performance. The communication team’s aim is to communicate this change internally and with the suppliers. For this important challenge, we are looking for an intern who can stand their ground and support the Communications team in any situation.

You are responsible for

  • Help implement communications strategies
  • Assist in maintaining web content on SharePoints
  • Update databases
  • Facilitate effective internal communications
  • Participate in organizing various events (internal and external).

You are a part of

The Philips Procurement Communications team and work closely together with other members of the Procurement and ISC Engineering teams. You will be working at our High Tech Campus in Eindhoven.

In some occasions, it is required to travel to our other sites (Amsterdam or Best).

Due to the current COVID19 situation, we do support you working from home. Depending on the rules and conditions as provided by our Philips Management, we might be able to grand you visiting our offices.

To succeed in this role, you‘ll need a customer-first attitude and the following

  • You are currently studying towards your Bachelor or Master in: Communications or Business Administration
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English
  • Ability to manage and organize both your own work as well as projects
  • Able to work independently and with others
  • Creative and flexible with strong communications skills (verbal and writing)
  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • Knowledge of MS SharePoint is an advantage

In return, we offer you

An in-depth view and understanding how we communicate and share information, via various channels, with our colleagues around the world. You will learn to use all these channels and will be an important part of the team in creating new communication strategies. This means working with a very diverse group of people from various departments. It is a position which offers a lot of variation of tasks, some ad hoc and some as part of a project.

Our intern remuneration package:

  • Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €900 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands. If you will perform a part-time internship you will receive the allowance pro-rata.
  • Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, €300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255,- net for all other Philips locations. You need to provide a rental contract of the landlord, and your normal home-work travel distance need to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) need to be more than 1.5 hours.
  • Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €145,- net
  • Paid holidays per internship term.
