Mission

Description of the Business Line:

Corporate Finance department focused on the oil & gas sector

Summary of the role:

  • The position will involve O&G Corporate Finance and global oil and gas client base coverage
  • The candidate will be supporting a highly motivated group of juniors within the team in their daily tasks
  • Daily responsibilities will include assisting on pitch materials, valuations of various companies and assets, researching on sector related topics and the potential for preparation of various materials for live transactions

Summary of responsibilities:

  • Assisting in origination of M&A and ECM transactions
  • Potentially assisting in execution of M&A and ECM transactions
  • Involvement in the preparation of presentations for clients
  • Preparing traded comparables analysis, as well as precedent transaction analysis
  • Gathering market data to analyse market and investor trends
  • Company and industry research in the context of the origination and execution of transactions
  • Conduct and assist with valuation assignments
  • Financial statement analysis and financial modelling
  • Keep up to date about M&A, equity and debt related issues
  • Help develop transaction structures / structured solutions
  • Assisting the oil and gas corporate finance team in any other projects and assignments

Profile

Competencies:

  • The position requires a self-confident person who is a quick learner and self-starter
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English
  • Good knowledge of Corporate Finance & Equity Capital Markets
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Extremely motivated and reliable individual with strong team spirit
  • Adherence to SG’s values and behaviours
  • Strong interest in M&A and, ideally, the oil and gas sector
  • Ability to deliver under challenging conditions
  • Take ownership of own work
  • Good attention to detail
  • Commercial awareness
  • Fluency in English is essential
  • Extremely good command of MS Office, in particular Excel and PowerPoint

Work Experience:

• None required, however previous internships or experience in Corporate Finance would be an advantage

Education:

• Graduate of a top university in any discipline with a minimum 2:1

Languages:

• Fully fluent spoken and written proficiency in English

• Other languages would be an advantage but not a requirement
