Job Description

Start date: We prefer students able to start as soon as possible, no later than January 2022.

Duration: 6 months. Students able to extend are preferred.

This internship assignment cannot be supported with a thesis. For this reason, we do require a minimum availability of 32 hours. Students able to spend 40 hours per week working on the projects are preferred.

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Gain experience with multiple supplier sustainability initiatives within Philips and add sustainable value to the core of our business and the extended supply chain.

You are responsible for

  • Develop and execute continuous improvement projects within the team and find ways to further improve
  • Support in management activities of supplier sustainability compliance programs
  • Work on internal and external capability building for efficiently managing sustainability compliance for different stakeholder groups
  • Collect data from multiple platforms and implement findings in our internal records and tools

You are a part of

The Philips sustainability team is an innovative, and trend-setting team within the organization. During the internship, you will work closely with supplier sustainability experts and our support centers to effectively manage and improve our compliance programs and tools. There are opportunities for working remotely, from our Amsterdam headquarters or from the High-Tech Campus in Eindhoven.

Due to the current COVID19 situation, we do support working from a home-based situation. If the management guidelines will allow us to return to the offices, your Philips mentor will inform you.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Currently studying towards your University Master’s degree in: Business studies, Supply Chain Management or Sustainability
  • Action-oriented, independent, and pro-active attitude, good track on academic results
  • Strong data-analysis skills and ability to process large sums of information quickly
  • Excellent oral and written English skills, strong project management
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and SharePoint)
  • Experience in Excel VBA and Microsoft InfoPath is a plus
