User Experience Design Internship

Amsterdam

Parttime

Help improve the education of students worldwide by designing tools that make learning more fun and effective! As a UX design intern you will be part of a multidisciplinary design team and supervised and supported at every step along the way by the Head of Design, who is an experienced product designer and user researcher.

You will be getting your own projects that you will carry out from start to finish, meaning from getting a briefing and user stories, to concepting, designing, prototyping and testing, and finally delivering to development. These projects can range from iterating on existing features, to designing completely new features, as well as improving existing flows. Getting ownership of a project and taking it through the full cycle is a great way of learning what is involved in every step of product development and maintaining a large diverse tool suite. This internship can grow with you, if you want and can handle more responsibility or different tasks then we can provide you with that flexibility.

We care about your growth and ambitions. If in the course of your internship you find a specific field you want to explore (motion design, animation, brand development) we are open to thinking together with you a way to explore those areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate use cases into a user friendly design
  • Create high-level prototypes of the experience
  • Set up and conduct user tests with students, teachers and other educational staff
  • Documenting and distilling relevant insights and follow ups
  • Clearly communicating findings with team members and convert to actionable changes

  • Know how to design within constraints; in some cases it’s important to maintain consistency between all our tools
  • You seek constructive criticism and being direct and open with others
  • You are ever curious and wanting to learn!
  • Fluent in English, fluency in Dutch is a plus

What you get:

  • Internship fee
  • Learning opportunity and work with an impact
  • Flexible working hours and location: working from home during Corona lockdown and working from home also possible afterward
  • Transport allowance

A FeedbackFruits intern doesn’t make coffee! You will be given freedom, real responsibilities and will be expected to learn continuously and live up to your potential as any other person on our team.
