We work in the local plant connected to our global manufacturing network to ensure the highest quality of raw materials, intermediates and finished products.

We are recruiting a Senior Specialist, Supplier Development, Non-Sterile Primary Packaging, Animal Health API, and Capital Equipment (m/f/d) for a full time position for our Team.

Description of Position:

  • Leading the execution of the Technical Capability Assessment (TCA) for new and existing Suppliers, to determine if gaps exist in 11 critical Supplier categories and then Up-Skilling the Supplier to close those gaps
  • Performing HyperCare Activities (e.g. walk the lines at the Supplier Manufacturing Site and confirm in-process controls are in place, ensure that current company specifications / drawings are being used at Supplier, verify the release equipment in Supplier lab is the same as Supplier qualification and equivalent to our company Lab, analyze Supplier release test results for Normality, X-Bar Chart, Histogram, Control Limits, etc.) prior to and/or during Supplier launch for our Manufacturing Devision Supply
  • Partnering with Global Procurement to identify “high-risk” Items / Suppliers and then mitigating that risk (e.g. HyperCare, Technical Supplier Capability Assessment, etc.) for our Manufacturing Devision sites
  • Performing a Gap Analysis between specifications, methods, equipment, etc. at our Manufacturing Devision Suppliers vs. our Manufacturing Devision plants and then mitigate those gaps (e.g. Gage R&R, etc.) to pro-actively reduce future deviations, supply issues, etc. due to misalignment between our company and Supplier
  • Partner with other Supplier Development & PM personnel and other members of GSMG to manage our Manufacturing Devision Suppliers.
  • Execution of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and Run-Out Rates

Qualifications & Experience required:

  • Bachelor of science in engineering, materials science, or equivalent scientific field
  • Several years of technical experience in these areas:
  • Demonstrated technical skills, with operations, quality, and/or engineering background in the areas of chemical, pharmaceutical and/or vaccine manufacturing and packaging or similar regulated industry
  • Demonstrated leadership skills including professional/interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain commercial relationships external to our company is key
  • Travel will be associated with this position on an as-needed basis and is estimated at ~ 25%
  • Preferred: Six Sigma certified Green Belt or Black Belt

We offer an attractive salary, outstanding social benefits and an exciting work environment with varied tasks in an international environment. This person will be preferably based in Germany, or Austria but other locations within Nothern Europe will be considered for the right candidate. In case you choose to be located in our Austrian site, the minimum annual salary for this position is EUR 54.100,-- and varies according to the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
