Job description

We are looking for a Compliance Officer who will make sure we are compliant with all regulations and certifications, security and privacy related.

Do you have experience in compliance and are ready to be responsible for that in a new company? Nmbrs is the right place for you! You will find an environment where we are open to your ideas and strategies.

Visma Nmbrs is a fast-growing organisation without managers where more than 100 highly educated employees work together to develop payroll-HR software for the Dutch and Swedish markets.

Job Responsibilities

While you will be solely responsible for compliance at Nmbrs, you will be joining Squad Operations.

At Nmbrs, we don’t have managers. This means you need to feel comfortable approaching different stakeholders and understanding their side while ensuring we stay compliant. You will advise but also take responsibility for building and maintaining the compliance framework.

Your activities will consist of the following:

  • Responsible for maintaining, improving and enforcing our internal control framework;
  • Primary contact and process owner for the ISAE 3402 type II & ISAE 3000 type II audits;
  • Advise the teams of Nmbrs on how to meet the compliance standards by creating awareness, collaborating and communicating clearly;

  • Identify new opportunities for improvement in the areas of security, privacy, data protection and IT Governance;
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating our general terms & conditions.

Working at Nmbrs

We have no managers, and all of the responsibilities that would fall on them, fall on everyone. This means that it’s everyone’s responsibility to give feedback, recognise our colleagues, address people when something is not right, give a helping hand in recruitment and make sure our surroundings are in order. We all work together to make Nmbrs a great product and a great place to work!

What we offer you:

  • Nmbrs is a flat, international organization in which you have the freedom to do what you are good at, in an agile working environment;
  • A personal coach who helps you with your personal and professional growth and also the development of your squad;
  • We ensure a healthy work-life balance;
  • To support the well-being of our employees, we provide the possibility to collect equipment from the office, but we have also allocated a budget for extra supplies to facilitate working from home;
  • Weekly and monthly activities to maintain health, commitment and connection with each other.

Requirements

We are looking for you if you:

  • Have a bachelor or masters degree (HBO or WO level) preferably in (ICT) law or having a CIPP/E;
  • Have at least 4 years of experience in similar roles;
  • Have experience in (external) IT audits;
  • Are familiar or have interest in GDPR, ePrivacy;
  • Knowledge of Dutch at a native/bilingual level and fluency in English;
  • Are interested or familiar with the development cycle of software. Previous experience in an agile environment is a plus;
  • Know how important it is to be pragmatic, structured, independent, analytical and communicative in this function;
  • Knowledge of ISAE 3402 / SOC2 and /or ISO Norms (like 27000/27001/27002/ 27018 or ISO27701) are an advantage.

Nmbrs is a company with a story of its own.
After starting out as a payroll administration office, we shifted focus towards becoming a SaaS company. We believe employees deserve the best possible HR service. By developing software that connects all the main users, companies ensure the best possible service to their employees. We currently supply for the Dutch and Swedish markets. Did you know that our customers manage more than a million payslips per month through Nmbrs?
