This is an exciting opportunity to launch, shape and lead an Open Access journal that supports the Organic Chemistry community and will become the flagship title within our prestigious Tetrahedron family journals portfolio. As Editor-in-Chief you will report to an Executive Publisher within the Chemistry team.
As the Editor-in-Chief of Tetrahedron Chem, our new, Open Access, leading journal for the Organic, Chemistry community, you will assume overall responsibility for setting the scope of Tetrahedron Chem, appointing the board and ensuring the quality and quantity of the research articles published in the journal. Working within Elsevier’s Chemistry department, which is part of the STM journals (STMJ) Physical Sciences group, you will lead the editorial team including the management of internal Scientific editors, as well as an external international and prestigious academic editorial board for Tetrahedron Chem. The Editor-in-Chief will also need to develop and foster partnerships with other editorial teams including the Chem team at Cell Press and the external editorial team of our prestigious Tetrahedron family titles (Tetrahedron, Tetrahedron Letters, Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry, and Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry Letters,). You will be expected to travel to attend conferences, seminars, and scientific meetings and to build on your existing broad network of domestic and international contacts.
