Description & Requirements

R&D Packaging Internship

Start date: August / September 2021

Duration: 5 to 6 months

Location: Nijmegen

R&D Packaging Internship tasks:

  • Working on new packaging design & materials development;
  • Supporting sustainable packaging projects (mainly Plastics Rigid and Flexible);
  • Examples:
  • Feasibility study: verification of the technical feasibility (Tests in the lab- trials on the production lines). Estimation of the material costs and investments. Benchmarking versus standard. Life Cycle Analysis. Compliance with regulations- recycling process…
  • Scouting of new technologies: identify materials and converting solutions (Technical research- meetings with suppliers- creativity sessions- Consumers Insights analysis...)

Qualifications:

We are looking for someone who is energetic- ambitious and driven. As a Kraft Heinz intern you’ll be the owner of your own projects and especially of your own career. WE provide the playing field- YOU change the game. Are you up for the challenge?

Job Requirements

  • Master student- with a relevant study background (e.g. Packaging / Chemical Engineering):
  • Knowledge in packaging materials and packaging process- Life Cycle Analysis and packaging lab tests
  • Knowledge in packaging regulations
  • You are analytical
  • You can coordinate projects (guidance will be given)
  • You should have good communication skills and fluency in English- both written and verbal (Dutch is not a requirement- but other languages are a plus!)
  • Working experience in a relevant industry is advantageous
  • You are enrolled at a university for at least 50% of the internship duration.

NOTE: EU working rights are required (Either you have EU Citizenship- you are studying in the Netherlands or are eligible for another relevant student work visa)
