In this role, you have the opportunity to

Get a good flavor of the finance business partnering world initially within Philips and then as part of the standalone Business Group Domestic Appliances’ BU Kitchen Appliances; delivering meaningful information to support our teams make meaningful business decisions in sort of our consumers every day. You will learn from and work with inspiring, ambitious people in different disciplines across all levels of the organisation. Work alongside the Business Unit Business Kitchen Appliances Business Partner, and from day 1, you will have hands on experience of business finance analytics to derive action from data plus projects across the organisation.

You are responsible for

  • Support in the production of the Monthly Performance Review (MPR)
  • Support in month end results analysis and reporting plus follow up of action points with functions
  • Support in business case and business plan preparation
  • Support to the quarterly rolling forecast and long-term sales plan processes
  • Support to Core / Flagship product profitability analysis
  • Preliminary sales and margin preparation and follow up with market controllers
  • Weekly latest view reporting
  • Ad-hoc reporting and projects as required
  • Managing fluent and frequent communication with manager and key stakeholders.

You are a part of

Business Unit Kitchen Appliances, part of the Domestic Appliances Business Group. Currently, part of Royal Philips we will transition to being a standalone independent entity in Q3 2021, promising great opportunities for further growth. Finance business partners support the reporting of both the business unit in total as well as the component product categories within the Philips Kitchen Appliances portfolio. It is located at the divisional headquarters in Amsterdam and cooperates with different functional and market axis including country & market sales organizations plus the consumer marketing management, business development management, research and development, quality and distribution functions.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Currently studying towards your University degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and show commercial and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to turn data into information
  • An excellent communicator, with keenness to convince others. Fluent in oral and written English.
  • Having excellent planning and organization skills
  • Able to balance strategic thinking with a “hands on” and pragmatic approach.
  • Be registered as a student during the entire internship period.
