Job requirements

Make It Bright 2021 is a special challenge with the prize of a paid internship for the winners. To enter the challenge:

  • you must be between 18 and 24 years old
  • you will need an advanced level of spoken and written English, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • you must not have been in full-time employment for more than two years
  • you will be able to commit several months of time to compete for the challenge and be willing to travel globally between 1 June 2021 till mid-October 2021.
  • you must have a positive, proactive attitude, a willingness to learn, be self-motivated and results driven
  • you will have good analytical, organizational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • you will have good command of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Prizes:

If you and your team member pitch the best business solution, you will win fantastic prizes:

  • The best business case: a global 6-month paid international internship + USD 2.000 for schooling / learning / training + a MAC Book
  • Second best business case: UDS 1.500 for schooling / learning / training + an iPad

Selection process

Make It Bright internship challenge is your opportunity to gain business experience, network with peers, and win a paid internship at JTI in 2021.

In line with the Make It Bright challenge our selection process is exclusively different.

Here’s how it works:

  • to register now for Make It Bright challenge and get started with your submission, visit makeitbright.com
  • begin your entry by choosing one of four challenge themes or choose to develop your own idea
  • on your own, or with your team partner, create a presentation of your business ideas in response to your chosen challenge theme – the submission deadline for this first entry is Friday 28th May 2021
  • throughout June - August 2021, we select the most promising teams (based upon their presentations) to pitch their ideas at JTI’s headquarters
  • during summer time you will prepare your business case and pitch to present at JTI’s headquarters in Geneva
  • in October 2021, finalist teams from over 35 countries compete in Geneva to win a six-month paid global internship, to begin in 2022.
