Together with over 70 colleagues we have the ambition to build a European network of 1,000 fast charging stations where electric drivers can charge their vehicles with energy from the sun and wind. Fastned is growing fast and hiring outstanding talent is key to realising our mission to accelerate the transition towards sustainable mobility by bringing freedom to electric drivers. We therefore want to bring a passionate Junior Recruiter on board who cares about our cause and wants to support our talent acquisition team in finding the best talent out there - not just in the Netherlands, but across six countries (our HQ is located in Amsterdam and we have offices in Germany, the UK, Switzerland, Belgium and France). You will help us to scale up our organisation while maintaining our unique culture.

What does the role look like?

We give you the opportunity to join a highly collaborative team environment and grow into owning the recruitment process from A-Z. From defining the vacancy (together with the relevant manager) to providing the best onboarding experience to our new colleagues, you will be involved in all relevant steps. You will get the chance to recruit for a large variety of exciting roles, be it Product Designers, Architects, Public Affairs professionals, Location Acquisition experts, or Software Engineers. There’s plenty of variety to keep things fresh and you will meet the most interesting mix of people along the way. You will report to our Recruiter Chris, who will coach you and guide your growth, so that together as a team you will advance our talent acquisition efforts over the coming years.

Your overall responsibilities include:

  • Taking control of the hiring funnel while setting a high bar for new talent: writing & promoting vacancies, screening candidates, planning interviews & assessments, guiding the process & review sessions with the hiring team;
  • Active sourcing: developing a strong and diverse pool of candidates for all our European locations;
  • Providing an outstanding onboarding experience for all our new hires;
  • Supporting the team with developing employer branding strategies, pushing diversity & inclusion efforts further, attending events, building partnerships and much, much more.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference through their work as a recruiter. You need to have top notch interpersonal skills, a high level of empathy and the ability to level with people no matter their seniority or background. You bring along outstanding communication skills, as you are representing Fastned, so you know how to make that first impression count. Absolutely crucial: Candidate experience always comes first for you. Additionally, you tick the following boxes:

  • 1 - 3 years of previous experience recruiting in-house, preferably in an international start-up / scale-up environment;
  • A relevant Bachelor/Masters degree;
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English. Plus points if you are fluent in French, German and/or Dutch;
  • Proven ability to work independently. You manage your time wisely by organising, planning and prioritising tasks accordingly;
  • You work accurately, you pay attention to details and you are keen to further optimise our recruitment process;
  • Affinity with the mission of Fastned: accelerating the transition towards sustainable mobility by giving freedom to electric drivers.
