Start date: We prefer students able to start as soon as possible, no later than Q2 2021

Duration: 6 months. We do prefer students able to extend until at least 8 months.

We are able to support you with your thesis as long as your subject is in line with our daily operations. To some extend we are then flexible to allow you 8 hours per week to work on your thesis.

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Gain experience in the field of business development projects that require a mix of strategy, marketing and process focus. The program will include execution of 3 projects over the span of at least 6 months, but to enable you to complete it to its full extend 8 months would be perfect.

You are responsible for

  • Manage the continuity of the pricing tools from Digital Pathology till all markets are transitioned to Global Commercial Policy - working closely with cost engineering and finance
  • Create a Global Digital Activation campaign for an upcoming New Product Release ( Scanners and Software)
  • Devise commercial upgrade strategy for the existing customer base - work closely with Solution architects

You are a part of

The Business development team of the Business Group Precision Diagnosis Solutions (BG PDS). The BG provides integrated solutions for our customers with a focus on oncology. The integrated solutions follow the care path of the patients of our customers. With a strong focus on software, workflow and AI enabled clinical analysis and decision support, our team is striving to help our customers improve on the Quadruple Aim. You will be reporting to the Director Business Development- International Markets.

You will be working at our offices based in Best (nearby Eindhoven)

Due to the current COVID19 situation, we do support working from a home based situation. In the event that the management guidelines will allow us to return to the offices, your Philips mentor will inform you.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Studying towards your University (WO) Bachelor in Sciences or Master in Sciences in; Business Administration, (Digital) Marketing and/or Business Management
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Power point skills
  • Think conceptually from a broad business perspective considering both strategic as well as operational aspects. Strong strategic Business drive and interest in development of new business models
  • Knowledge in all aspects of Marketing including market insights, value proposition generation, pricing, communications, channel management and planning
  • Ability to develop strong cooperation with peers within the market, cross business, and cross function
  • Globally fluent English, and able to function effectively across cultures; Works in multinational environment with strong personal communication skills able to inspire, convince and mobilize people
