Are you ready to become part of a fast-growing scale-up? Do you want to make a positive impact on cities by changing parking and mobility? Then join our tech team in Amsterdam as our new full-time .NET Developer!

About us

We are ParkBee, we develop smart tech to reduce the need for on-street parking. At ParkBee we are on a mission to give space back to the city. With our Mobility Management solution we optimise the use of underutilised parking spaces and get cars off the streets. We partner up with third party applications such as Parkmobile, Park-line and RingGo to improve our services even more. We have offices in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, and are now ready to conquer the rest of Europe. Join us and play a huge role in our fast growing business!

ParkBee Engineering

We are striving to build stable and scalable systems. Currently, our software is being used by thousands of users in the Netherlands and in the United Kingdom. Since ParkBee’s product is constantly evolving and is becoming more important, you will play a crucial role in our platform for growth. While working with our development team, you will be building all the core parts of the system, coding in the heart of ParkBee. You will play a crucial role in the accomplishment of our vision; being the leading online parking platform in Europe. You will be improving the scalability and maintainability of our code with new technologies and by building new features from scratch. On top of working on building and creating new integrations, you will also be responsible for code reviews and testing of new features and API’s. Doesn’t that sound great? Keep reading!

Who you are

You are curious about new tech and a great communicator. Are you eager to learn? Not afraid of change? Great! That means you’re ambitious to grow. A bit of pressure does not scare you, because you’re a problem solver with a proactive approach. When working with the team you care about and have a desire for personal development. Giving and receiving feedback is something you’re open to. Does this sound like you? Continue reading and make an impact on a fast growing scale-up!

What you’ll get in return

Besides the fact that you would be given the opportunity to make a huge impact on the use of mobility in cities, we would also offer you a platform for growth! ParkBee readily encourages you to tweak, hack, and break on our Innovation Fridays 🚀. Meaning you would have the opportunity to be innovative every Friday and show us potential areas we can grow in! Our philosophy is to invest in our developers and they help ParkBee develop in return. Furthermore:

  • An ambitious, committed, and skilled team with which we have online events. You will get to share knowledge, reconnect from work and have fun, and even focus on your mental health!
  • An inspiring office in the lovely city of Amsterdam with neighbouring lead scale-ups such as Uber, Amazon, and Ebay;
  • Visa support in case you’re international;
  • An allocated personal development budget which you can use to follow courses or go to conferences;
  • Virtual shares for full-time employees.

We are likely to be a match if you have

  • A minimum of two years in software engineering;
  • Experience with Git and Git Flow;
  • Knowledge of ORMs, REST, and WebAPI/MVC;
  • Experience with unit testing, functional testing, and integration testing;
  • Knowledge of or experience with different design patterns;
  • Front-end experience with Angular or ReactJS (a plus);
  • A desire to work in an agile/SCRUM environment and a broad interest in tech outside of the Microsoft stack.

Sounds good? Don’t hesitate to apply! Send your resume and motivation letter and we will get back to you as soon as possible :).
