Your responsibilities

As a Junior IT consultant at BearingPoint you’ll be executing challenging assignments in the IT domain for various appealing clients in the Telecommunications, Energy and FMCG sectors. You will help shape the IT landscape of organizations in a wide variety of IT related roles ranging from development, and the implementation of technology solutions to more business analysis & IT architecture support roles. Examples of possible assignments include the development of an API between two systems, the implementation of technological solutions, and mapping IT capabilities. You will do this as part of multi-disciplinary teams building bridges between business and IT to achieve the goals of the client.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Data Information Management, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent;
  • A shown broad interest in IT and how (IT) solutions can realize (business) goals;
  • Knowledge and/or experience with one or more programming languages;
  • Learning fast and eager to pick up new technologies;
  • Strong analytical skills, supplemented with a conceptual mindset;
  • Ability to empathize and well-developed listening skills;
  • A customer-, and results oriented and proactive attitude;
  • A representative appearance and proactive, independent attitude;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (fluent in Dutch and English).

Advantages to have

  • Work experience or a shown interest in one of the mentioned sectors
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with IT integration standards and technologies (e.g. JSON, Rest, JMS);
  • Experience with requirements engineering, business & IT design techniques (e.g. UML).
