Medior Software Engineer Data Quality (IDQ)

The position

We are currently looking for a Software Engineer/IDQ within Financieren Housing and Business lending for the Data & Reporting department. As a Data Quality Engineer you and your teammates are responsible for the (technical) implementation of our data quality rules. Taking in new data from the Data warehouse, creating profiles, developing or changing data quality rules, creating scorecards are part of the tasks within this role. In addition, we continue to invest in the high quality of our delivered software by structurally testing each other's work. In addition to developing new software also part of the job are  recurring operational tasks.

You are an active member of the Agile/Scrum team with your primary focus on Data Quality software operations and monitoring. You have broad knowledge of software development and knowledge about the business domain for which you work for. You dare to challenge and are open in your communication towards your own team, your customers and other stakeholders. You are eager to improve and take a leading role within the team on how to build, automate and streamline our processes.

You will (unit) test code built by your colleagues where possible. You will document your work as required. You quickly adapt within a new organisation and with changing circumstances.

Your profile 

You are an experienced Software Engineer with proven knowledge and experience in Finance projects or data quality management solutions.

You have completed a bachelor degree preferably in Information Technology or similar.

Work experience (must haves):

• 3-5+ years working experience in software development (Powercenter);
• 1-3+ years working experience in IDQ (Informatica Data Quality) and/or Powercenter;
• 2-3+ years working experience of Oracle / SQL;
• 1-3+ years working experience with Linux operations;
• 2-3+ years working experience in Data Warehousing;
• Experience with Agile methodologies;
• Excellent English language skills (speaking and writing)

Work experience (nice to haves):

• 2-3+ years working experience in Data Modelling;
• Experience with meta data management tools like IMM (Informatica Metadata Manager) or EIC (Enterprise Information Catalogue) is a plus;
• Experience with unit and automated testing;
• Experience in a financial services environment;
• Experience with continuous delivery;
• Experience with data management in general or other data governance tools
• Experience with Linux and scheduling;
• Experience with operations support;
• Dutch language skills (speaking and writing)

Personal qualities:

• Fit in with the team. It is quite important to be open towards sharing knowledge with other team members and also embrace knowledge from them;
• Experience as a developer in an Agile team;
• Flexible, creative and taking ownership;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

• A gross monthly salary between € 3.211,- and € 4.586,- (scale 8), based on knowledge and experience;
