We are looking for a Junior Product Manager to join our User Experience & Engagements group, that contributes to various product development initiatives throughout Wolters Kluwer (the Business).

The role

As the Junior Product Manager you will partner up with the Business to run experiments in order to surface business and user problems in either markets Wolters Kluwer currently serves or markets the Business wants to enter. Once a clear business problem is identified you, along with the Business, team up with the User Experience Design team to lead and drive the early phases of the product development process. You consult in product strategy and product development by employing industry best practices for product management and development (e.g. practices related to: Lean User Experience, Lean Startup and Agile Practices). You function as a consultant on a project level or go as deep as temporarily operating in a quasi-product management capacity for The Business.

You will contribute to the */DXG User Experience team by liaising with the business and product management teams, technology teams and other relevant stakeholders. You manage expectations during all stages of the product management life cycle as well as actively participates by leading envisioning workshops, designing experiments and conceptualize early product solutions for the Business team in collaboration with a User Experience Designer.

You know how to balance 1) product management, 2) user experience and 3) technology. This role requires the ability to challenge and inspire the Business as well as technology decision makers of what is possible as we endeavor to discover, design, deliver and deploy new value to current and future customer during this transformative period from print publishing to digital products.

Your profile

Education

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year university studies (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Informatics, Information Sciences, or related discipline, possibly in Business Administration or Economics;

Experience

  • Expert knowledge of Lean Methodologies (Lean User Experience, Lean Startup and Agile/Scrum)
  • Experience in a product management or product owner role for at least 2 years
  • Intermediate knowledge of software technology is a plus
  • Experience in User Experience Design is a plus

  • Skillfully merge research findings, creative innovation, and proven practices to generate unique, strategic solutions
  • Being able to add structure in a rapid growing team of creative minded User Experience professionals without limiting the required creative space
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate and interact with upper management
  • A “getting the job done” mentality
  • Fluent English required
