What you will be doing in this role

As our Product Owner, you will work with stakeholders to translate business requirements to technical stories, scope new projects and coordinate the project planning and deliverables with the Technical Lead of the team.Your main responsibility will be setting and prioritizing the operational goals, defining a roadmap to improvements on the products, as well as evaluating work generated by the team and ensuring functionality of the products.

About the team

The team is a high-performance team, which builds custom solutions for games and web portals throughout Azerion. The team is a multi-disciplinary, agile, internal tools team covering backend, frontend, mobile development, infrastructure and QA. As a team we constantly look for new challenges and opportunities to help products and teams within Azerion with generic solutions. Besides development, the team facilitates gameplay QA for our own IPs and testing for games with Gamedock integration, e.g. integration, regression, compliance, ad-hoc testing.

About the product

As a team we focus on multiple products. Currently the main focus of the team is the development of a Backend-as-a-Service architecture for mobile games called Gamedock, which includes a Mobile SDK, backend, and a web interface. This product provides game teams and service departments with standardized tools and features to remotely configure and monetize their mobile properties.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Provide the product with a long-term planning and vision
  • Scope new projects
  • Develop a product growth strategy and provide vision and direction to the team and stakeholders throughout the process
  • Lead a transparent, data driven prioritization process, guide through planning and elaboration of customer journey and user stories
  • Handle backlog so the team is able to work on backlog items that have the highest business value
  • Be the primary liaison between stakeholders and the team
  • Ensure ongoing communication with stakeholders about priorities, features, testing and release planning
  • Evaluate the project’s progress at each iteration
