This role will be primarily responsible for supporting Atlassian's health, welfare, perks, and retirement plans in the Netherlands, France, Germany, UK, and other countries as needed. You’ll work closely with our brokers, vendors, and internal teams to manage our local and global benefit programs. You’ll analyze market trends to ensure our benefit plans deliver value and quality of care. By partnering with our broader global teams, you will help scale our local and global benefits programs and administration. You’ll support and stay abreast of regulatory requirements and legislative changes as the subject matter authority in benefits and leave of absence compliance. 

More about the role

  • Manage all aspects of benefits administration, annual renewal process, and vendor management
  • Drive employee engagement and participation through communication, education, and events
  • Provide cross-functional team support for leave of absences, employee health & safety, and return to work programs
  • Work with People Operations and HRIS to lead compliance and operational excellence
  • Partner with global and local benefits brokers, consultants, and vendors
  • Evaluate policies and programs and make recommendations to ensure programs are competitive and in compliance with legal requirements
  • Partner with internal teams and third-party administrators to resolve employee issues and inquiries
  • Research competitive regional and industry trends and standard methodologies
  • Support new country implementations and M&A activities
  • Work with the global benefits team on projects supporting the global benefits strategy and roadmap

More about you

  • 5+ years of experience in HR and benefits, preferably in high growth or corporate environments
  • Bachelor's’ degree in HR, Business, Finance or a related field
  • Proven knowledge of benefits practices, operations, and compliance
  • Validated analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrable ability to execute and improve processes
  • Good judgment and discretion when dealing with sensitive information
  • Team player with an ability to work both collaboratively and asynchronously
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to communicate across diverse groups with a clear and approachable style
  • Proven organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Appreciation for the fact that we work in a global environment that is rapidly changing and growing

  • Experience with configuring time off or benefits in Workday or similar HRIS
  • Possessing a creative approach to problem-solving
  • A commitment to excellent customer service and empathy
  • Dutch, French, or German language skills
