This project is “Design block II”, which is part of the project:  Designing a Novel Replacing System for CNC Grinding and Polishing.

“Design block I” together with the System design of the unit have now been worked out by a Master’s student from the University of Groningen. The first two concept designs are build and tested in practice.

The goal of “Designing block II” is to design, make concepts and validate a Store cabinet with automatic belt feed. The cabinet needs to store at least 20 sanding belts. The cabinet unit must feed the Belt replacing unit with is designed in “Design block I”. The cabinet feed unit needs to be integrated in the existing CNC grinding solution.

The student is responsible for, project management, design, building of concepts and the system validation.

The student is working together with a dedicated project team at Stork and with machine builder specialists from Machine builder company STT in Tolbert
