For our Content Operations team at Azerion Headquarters in Amsterdam we are looking for a Graphic Designer Intern.

About the team:

We are a team of 9 people responsible for the integration and distribution of web games through Azerion’s gaming platforms. We ensure games are ready to be played by arranging QA, Art, Launch, and Promotions 

What you will be doing and learning in this internship:

You will be part of the design team, working with an unlimited portfolio of casual and social games spread out over many different platforms and departments within the company. In this internship, you will learn to organize and prioritize your work according to deadlines and think creatively and innovatively about new designs while working closely with an experienced designer in the casual gaming world.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Creating a variation of images for incoming new games
  • Creating banners for promotional purposes for casual and social games
  • Managing weekly updates and promotion on the social games
  • Working together with the marketing team and create images for social media
  • Collaborate with different departments on many projects and ad-hoc requests
  • Improving and optimizing current products and platforms
  • Supporting the QA’ing process of incoming assets from our (social) partners
  • Working closely together with the design team throughout execution of an idea, project or an initiative
  • Play games, get to know the current portfolio and learn the type of design style

What will you be able to learn:

  • Being able to create multiple different types of designs with games as the main subject
  • Working with approving artwork/assets from existing work and knowing how to improve if needed
  • Working with deadlines and how to prioritize these accordingly
  • Maintaining the quality of the products and artwork throughout the platforms
  • Having more in-depth experience working with Adobe Photoshop and JIRA
  • Working in a dynamic team and working independently
  • Learning to handle expectations, adapting and grow from feedback
  • Being able to switch between projects and platforms
  • Working with IP brands and executing the brand style

What you bring to the table:

  • A study based of (graphic or digital) design or in a relevant field
  • Basic knowledge and experience in Adobe Photoshop (Basic knowledge in Adobe Illustrator is a plus)
  • Basic knowledge of layouts, typography, composition, color and other graphic design fundamentals (experience with UX/UI design is a plus)
  • An eye for detail
  • Affinity with games (experience in the industry is a plus)
  • Desire to be involved and willing to improve products
  • Good communications skills in the language English (speaking and writing)
  • Able to work individually and in a team
  • Positive attitude and great interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced competitive environment and able to work under pressure
