What you’ll do

We’re looking for a Global Academic Program Manager who will be responsible for establishing and growing SAS usage within Higher Education by cultivating relationships with key individuals. The focus is on the adoption of SAS in curriculum in support of the efforts to develop the SAS users of the future.

What you’ll do

We’re looking for a Global Academic Program Manager who will be responsible for establishing and growing SAS usage within Higher Education by cultivating relationships with key individuals. The focus is on the adoption of SAS in curriculum in support of the efforts to develop the SAS users of the future.

You will:

  • Develop relationships and alliances with organizations in the Higher Education/Academic industry to maximize the use of SAS in academia.
  • Provide recommendations to management on strategies to increase growth.
  • Plan and implement growth strategies to increase the usage of SAS with existing organizations in the Higher Education/Academic industry.
  • Act as liaison to address customer inquiries with appropriate internal resources to ensure customer satisfaction with SAS offerings.
  • Develop and maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Introduce new versions of SAS software, services and education opportunities to existing customers.
  • Deliver presentations on SAS software’s capabilities in support of academia.
  • Work with Educational Institutions to establish courses in key business area.
  • Ensure alignment to the SAS Global Academic Program goals, strategies, initiatives and metrics.
  • Communicate strategies to Senior Management for all academic initiatives.
  • Develop an understanding of company pricing, policies and licensing procedures.
  • Complete up to date tracking of all activities performed in support of academia.
  • Serve as a resource to staff and management to recommend projects and activities in support of the advancement of SAS in academia.
  • Bridge the gap between educational institutions and business through various programs and initiatives when applicable.
  • Work in a local but also in an international virtual team.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience with open source; R or Python
  • Dutch, French and English Fluency (ability to present and teach)
  • Background in Data science, analytics or economics
  • Master’s degree or equivalent
  • Software teaching experience to students and professors
  • In-depth knowledge and skills on developing and delivering presentations
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Solid time management, prioritization and organization skills
  • Ability to work independently and lead teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Expert knowledge of academic selling, marketing techniques
  • Ability to cultivate, grow and manage customer relationships
  • Public speaking experience
  • Project management skills preferred
  • Knowledge of the higher education market
  • Knowledge of marketing process and the ability to lead the program in working with marketing department
  • Ability to stay connected by using networking skills, understanding industry trends and understanding competitors
  • Strong understanding of regional/global business perspective
  • Ability to negotiate and influence others
  • Ability to travel. Approximately 50%.
