The Finance department is in an exciting transitional stage with many new projects to get involved in, as the company expands. Our Billing & Credit Team is a new team and you will play a vital part in its growth and development.

This is a unique opportunity for someone looking to build on their credit career.

Gaining experience in revamping and setting up credit processes, working closely with the Billing Manager to ensure optimal debt control, collaborating with various teams in growing and maintaining strong and positive relationships with our merchants.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring all debt is managed and collected as per agreed credit terms
  • Management of the Credit Control inbox
  • Respond to and resolve queries
  • Allocation of customer payments
  • Weekly reporting of incoming payments
  • Create and distribute various debt reports
  • Distributing HIGH RISK debtors updates to management team on a weekly basis
  • Running Basic Credit Checks
  • Reconciling Merchant accounts
  • Assisting in the implementation of procedures to ensure optimal debt control

You’ll need to be well versed in:

  • Excel (intermediate or above)
  • Google Docs, Google Sheets

A bonus but not a must:

  • Knowledge of SalesForce, Xero and/or Looker

We’d love to hear from you if you are:

  • Experienced in credit control - having worked as a sole credit controller will be a bonus
  • Very customer service orientated
  • Comfortable with assisting in resolving billing queries
  • Studying Finance/Accounting or a degree that requires high numeracy skill or equivalent work experience
  • A self-starter who can work with minimal guidance
  • Numerically strong with excellent commercial skills
  • An understanding of financial contracts and fees
  • A confident communicator, both verbally and in writing, who enjoys working with a wide range of people
  • Ambitious and enthusiastic to develop a career in Credit/Finance at GoCardless
