Front-end developer

As a front-end developer at Cost Engineering you’ll have impact on our, worldwide used, SaaS solution Cleopatra Enterprise which is being used by various international organizations like; Shell, Vopak, Siemens Gamesa & Heineken. As a front-end developer at Cost Engineering, you will have the opportunity to prototype and develop cross-platform applications that will enrich our products and services. Affinity with design principles is important and you’re skilled in creating appealing responsive layouts. You have a willingness to research and learn new technologies to solve problems and are able to perform well in a fast-paced environment. As well as possessing excellent analytical and multitasking skills you’ve proven yourself as a front-end developer through your previous work experience.

Skills & Tech stack

You should have:

• BSc degree in Computer Science or relevant field
• Fluent in both Dutch and English
• Strong understanding of Javascript, HTML, CSS
• Strong understanding of working with REST API's: data validation, authentication, error handling, etc
• Basic understanding of responsive design and web/mobile UX best practices
• Able to deliver modular, maintainable, well-commented code
• Strong understanding of Angular or React and best practices
• Basic understanding of RxJs and best practices
• Basic understanding of Typescript best practices
• Experience with Scrum based workflow within teams (using Jira)
• Experience with GIT workflow and best practices

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with developing, deploying and maintaining mobile apps 
• Experience or interest in developing mobile apps with frameworks such as Ionic
• Basic understanding of Redux/NgRx for state management
• Experience with writing unit tests (for Angular)
• Experience with writing E2E tests (for Angular)
• Basic understanding of NPM and package management best practices
