About us:

Up to 15 percent of a major city’s space is used for parking. At the same time, roughly 85 percent of existing parking spaces are daily unoccupied. At ParkBee, we are on a mission to change that. We develop smart technology to optimise the use of existing parking space, thereby allowing cities to reduce on-street parking and give space back to the city. These last few years we have seen our business grow exponentially and our goal is to expand even further.

ParkBee is growing rapidly and the team is playing a central role in this. Currently we have a team of 57 people in The Netherlands and 6 people working in our London office and we keep growing!

Our operations team takes care of all our locations and makes sure that users are satisfied. They do a range of tasks from technical maintenance to customer support to create an above-expected user experience.

What you’ll be doing:

As our operations intern you will be the right hand of our Operations Manager in Amsterdam. You are his hands, eyes and ears, and always on the spot for ad hoc requests. Together with the Operations Manager, you are responsible for maintaining and optimizing all locations in The Netherlands. Although you are also assisting the Operations Manager, you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty. It’s a role with a lot of responsibility and freedom. Besides maintaining the overview, doing and optimising administrative tasks, you are always ready to get into action and assist users and the team when necessary. Making sure ParkBee lives up to its promise of quality everyday by reporting your findings to the Operations Manager.

In this role, you will:

  • Assist in fighting against misuse;
  • Maintain satisfaction of intrinsic user-groups;
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders;
  • Onboard new locations and partners;
  • Collaborate with other departments on related projects;
  • Gather and analyse data for continuous improvement in user satisfaction;
  • Identify location problems and implement solutions;
  • Assist in improving our high priority locations;
  • Schedule, coordinate and assist in project planning.

Who we’re looking for:

Someone who is proactive, not afraid to take risks and an absolute team player. You like being part of an agile, fast paced and dynamic environment, and are very adaptable and flexible. You flourish when given freedom and like to take initiative. You have a keen eye for detail and quality and are interested in contributing to location optimisation.

We’re likely to be a match if you:

  • Looking for a 5 to 6 month internship starting on the 1st of February 2021
  • Are looking for a full-time internship (40 hours) and currently based closely to Amsterdam (max 40 km away);
  • Fluent in English;
  • Have basic knowledge of MS Office and G-Suite;
  • Have good interpersonal skills, effective time management, go-getter attitude;
  • Have good coordination and organisational skills.

Bonus if you:

  • Are fluent in Dutch;
  • Have a driving license B;
  • Have previous experience with operations;
  • Have a keen eye on quality and user experience;
  • Are passionate about parking;
  • Currently a student (at least in your 2nd year) of a HBO/WO education.
