Start date: We prefer students able to start as soon as possible, but no later than Q1 2021 (January or February)

Duration: 6 months. We prefer students able to extend their internship up to 12 months.

This internship assignment is not suitable to perform your thesis. For this reason we do require you to work 40 hours per week on the responsibilities described under “You are responsible for”.

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Get immersed in a startup culture leveraging the power of the Philips brand – fast decision-making, experimentation and entrepreneurial environment combined with the knowledge and expertise of the marketing team within Male Grooming category giving you a good flavor of consumer marketing from different perspectives. You will have a chance to learn more about new promising D2C business models, collaborate with inspiring, ambitious people in different disciplines, and manage projects/tasks on your own. You will get knowledge on various aspects of marketing including (but not limited to) digital marketing, UX, content writing & creation, social media etc.

You are responsible for

  • Analysis of consumer insights, new initiatives driven by competitors and OneBlade current performance to feed the experimentation pipeline for OneBlade Next propositions and drive the improvement of the value proposition
  • Online effectiveness and content management: support in creation and improvement of content across various touchpoints, analysis of consumer experience and initiation of corrective actions
  • Project management support in rolling-out OneBlade Next proposition on new markets by fulfilling the global go-to market deliverables in time and in full and engagement with supporting countries & functions (IT, External Supplier, Finance, Design, Logistics etc.)
  • Support in development of proposition launch strategy and plans (playbook, assets toolkit, launch activation activities etc.)
  • Support the team with operational daily tasks un- or foreseen

You are a part of

OneBlade Next venture – a small entrepreneurial team within larger Male Grooming category organization that aims to drive more disruptive initiatives at a higher pace to enable and support Philips D2C strategy implementation. The team works in close collaboration with the core Male Grooming category team as well as with wider organization.

Depending on the COVID19 situation, it might be that you will need to work from a homebased situation in which we will support you with a laptop and IT. If the situation will improve we will ask you to work at our head office in Amsterdam.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Currently studying towards your University in Applied Sciences or University in Sciences Bachelor or Master in the following: Business Administration, Business Economics, Business Management or Marketing
  • Strong analytical skills; excellent knowledge of MS office
  • Strong affinity with (digital) marketing, business model innovation, and product development
  • Proactive and solution-oriented, able to learn and adjust fast
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to inspire and convey the messages in a convincing manner with people of different seniority and backgrounds
  • A self-starter who has organizational talent, creativity and project management skills as well as the ability to work in a complex international matrix organization
  • Fluency in English, in oral and written.
