Senior Product Owner at bloomon

bloomon is a fast-growing online-only flower delivery service with a focus on exceptional floral design, customer service and sustainability. Since our start in 2014 we’ve become an iconic European flower brand with more than 100k customers across 5 countries. Our Amsterdam HQ is home to a diverse team of 100+ people and growing.

We're now looking for a Senior Product Owner to play a key role in our Product and Engineering team. Reporting to the CPO with high access to the CEO and broader leadership team, your key area of focus will be driving innovation and scalability in our supply chain tech platform.

Our unique supply chain allows us to access unique flowers at the best prices, and deliver these to customers with unbeatable freshness. You will be responsible for defending and increasing these advantages over time, including ensuring that our platform scales effectively and continues to be a source of defensible innovation. For example:

(1) Build out bloomon's unique sourcing platform—the pivotal component which ties together bloomon's unique designs, direct relationships with growers, sustainable sourcing policies and strict quality controls.

(2) Bring bloomon's operational processes to the next level—from the moment that flowers enter our warehouse until they arrive at the customer's doorstep—unlocking important new features for our customers (such as more personalised deliveries and variable time-slot selection) and for bloomon (solid stock management and operational cost control).

(3) Ensure best-in-class customer service by making sure our Customer Service team has the right platform in place to make good on customer expectations and to really add value to the bloomon brand.

Contribute to a great engineering culture by helping us continuously improve our working practices and processes.Bring clarity and evangelise. Facilitate a great working relationship between Product and Engineering and the rest of the business by ensuring that our engineering team understands the full context of the work we do so that we build great solutions, and giving the broader business transparency about what we're building, why, and the timelines.

What do we expect from you?

Growth-mindset. You believe in continuous improvement and can easily talk about examples of what you've learned recently and how you've applied that to improve your performance and the performance of your team.Disciplined. Your friends and colleagues would describe you as someone who doesn't let the ball drop. You're comfortable operating in an environment where you have many competing demands for your time, and can describe the strategies you use to ensure that you stay happy and focused on the most important tasks.Process-oriented. You are at home in Jira, Asana, Trello, or other similar tools and proactively design and implement processes that make you and your team more effective.Great prioritisation skills. You understand that prioritisation and focus require being clear about both the things we are and are not going to work on. You can give many examples of trade-offs you've made to increase focus, and how you ensured that others bought-in to these decisions.Excellent stakeholder management. You're proactive and effective at building strong working relationships across an organisation.Team player. You recognise the value of a diverse team and are enthusiastic about helping each of your colleagues do their best work.
