To up our game in that area, we are looking for an enthusiastic, data-driven and creative Digital Marketeer to reinforce our team, and support our mission.

Who we are

Solarplaza organizes high-level events - focused on solar power and related renewable energy topics - in both established and emerging solar energy markets across the globe. With a track record of 140+ events and a network that truly spans the entire world, our mission is to positively impact the world by accelerating the renewable energy transition. We aim to do that through the facilitation of knowledge-sharing at our events and through our content. Currently, we are expanding our service portfolio by adding more digital marketing options and digitalizing our event experience.

Where you come in

With the rapidly growing solar energy industry, the amount of professionals active or interested in this field is also growing. We’d like to make sure we can reach as much of the relevant solar professionals to inform, connect, and inspire them.

We’re structuring our team in such a way that we have both ‘deep’ skills and broad responsibilities. Your ‘deep focus’ will be in data analytics, digital innovation, and automation for all our campaigns and projects. At the same time, you will be coordinating several of our campaigns, making you the point of contact for the various teams and disciplines within our organization.

What you'll be doing

  • Analytics - Providing data-driven insights about our audience and their behavior
  • Data structure - Setting up and connecting the tools and platforms for our campaigns
  • Marketing automation - Diving into the options and implementing solutions
  • Coordinating marketing campaigns - Being involved from strategy to evaluation
  • Initiating and running test & projects - Improving our operations and how we stand out
  • Educating and guiding team members - Sharing best practices in your areas of expertise

What background we're looking for

  • Graduated Bachelor or Master in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Experience with running digital marketing campaigns is a must
  • Proven ability to set up data structures, dashboards and reports
  • Software skills:
  • Experience with Google Analytics is a must
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Google Data Studio) is a plus
  • Experience with CRM systems (especially Salesforce / Pardot) is a plus
  • And of course, you are great with Excel / Google Sheets
  • Experience in mapping customer journeys and attribution models is a plus
  • Flawless in the English language, other languages are a plus

Solarplaza International BV is a Dutch company, based in the Groothandelsgebouw in Rotterdam. Organizing solar energy events all around the world is our focus, ranging from established conferences in Europe, Asia and America, to pioneering conferences and exploratory trade missions in emerging markets. Our track record contains over 140 events, in over 40 different countries on 6 continents.

Our mission is to accelerate the sustainable energy transition. We want to empower industries and emerging countries that support this transition and stimulate renewable energy market development with a focus on solar energy and related power infrastructure topics.
