Job Summary:

As a Service Logistics Specialist, you will maintain and plan spare parts inventory within your assigned region to ensure inventory accuracy. You will work within cross- functional teams to optimize parts availability and collaborate with other functional logistics team members to identify requirements and to meet project deliverables deadlines. Your focus will be customer support. You will have the opportunity to influence customer satisfaction, and ultimately revenue generation for the company as a whole.

Essential Functions:

Service Logistics Specialists are responsible for the following specific tasks and responsibilities:

  • Ensure spare parts inventory planning/allocation is meeting our goals
  • Resolve part shortages to avoid issues leading to customer escalation
  • Manage issues preventing parts deliveries to customers and warehouses
  • Measure on-time delivery of spare parts according to customer contracts. Carry out Root Cause and Corrective Action where improvements are needed
  • Ensure customer and warehouse replenishment deliveries are optimal considering cost vs required delivery time.
  • Monitor and improve network of warehouses to ensure optimal efficiency.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with Service Logistics and/or Customer Service – experience with inventory planning systems is preferred
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to support new product plans, where relationship development is key.
  • Strong computer and analytical/problem solving skills.
  • Strong time management skills and prioritization abilities

Education & Experience:

  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a high-volume Logistics Spares environment with material planning and/or inventory control;
  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a Spares Logistics environment.
  • Experience of SAP CRM is desirable.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Fluent in English

Education

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience in a similar role
