Job description
Delmic is looking for an electronics engineer/regulatory assurance officer to further extend the functionality of our microscopes and have them comply with international regulations. The job is focused on solutions for our existing microscopy portfolio, as well as new solutions for our current development portfolio.
Summary
DELMIC develops high-end microscopy solutions for academic research. The company has a strong track record in developing software and hardware in record time to offer unique solutions. Over the past years the company has bought most electronics off the shelf or has outsourced the development of bespoke electronics. As the complexity of the new portfolio is increasing, we are looking for someone who can take ownership of the electronics development in the company. Besides the development you will be in charge of making sure that the existing and new products comply with EU/US regulations which includes safety assessments, product documentation and testing.
You will have the opportunity to decide yourself how to approach each unique problem. In doing so, you will directly interface with the software and hardware development teams to make sure that sensible wholly integrated solutions are created.
You will also get acquainted with the many fields at the cross-roads of microscopy such as optics, biology, and mechanics. DELMIC is currently working on some of the most cutting-edge developments in the microscopy field, including developments in extremely rapid acquisitions (big data generation) and advanced automation processes.
In short, this is a challenging and diverse job, where you never stop learning.
