About us
In the Netherlands, where 2200 employees are based, we are located in four cities: Huizen, Delft, Eindhoven and Hengelo (HQ). Together with an extensive ecosystem of knowledge partners, customers and suppliers, we work on radars for naval vessels, cyber security solutions, transportation systems, communication equipment for land forces, cryogenic cooling solutions and research & development for radar tech (in collaboration with TU Delft).
The software department of the Application Engineering cluster is responsible for the software development in Combat Management and Radar- and Optical sensors for worldwide navies- and defense systems. The work is performed in multi-disciplinary agile teams with specialists in software/system/test engineering and functional design.
About the assignment
The Tacticos Combat Management system is used by customers all over the world and has therefore built-in multi language support. External tooling is used by both software engineers and translators to provide localized values for the entire product. The tool has limitations regarding traceability and maintenance.
As a graduate you will be investigating whether a version control system (GIT) based application could replace the current localization tooling.
You will investigate the way GIT versioning and branching can help to get a better insight in the current state and history of Tacticos’ localization.
You will develop an application on which both software developers and translators can cooperate to localize the Tacticos product.
