About the assignment
Thales systems such as a radar, combat management system or fire-control system are distributed in nature where multiple separate components realize the function of the system. In order for these components to collectively realize the function there are interfaces (API, application programming interfaces) to allow these components to interact. Deploying updates of components could introduce changes to these interfaces which affects the users of these interfaces. The risk here is that one change could cascade through the system requiring all (transitive) dependents to change as well, which is as you could imagine, undesirable. This assignment aims to investigate available techniques, framework and or tools that allow the interfaces of the components to evolve and demonstrate how these can be applied.
It is possible to refine the assignment in order to meet specific curriculum criteria.
