To support our Patient Monitoring & Recovery (PMR) Business for the Southern Netherlands region we are currently looking for a full-time customer oriented field Sales Representative with excellent communication skills and natural ability to spot business opportunities. This is a great challenge for sales driven person with a strong commercial or clinical experience an entrepreneurial spirit. Fluent Dutch and English is required.

A Day in the Life

We offer you a position where where you present and sell PMR Advanced Critical Care products and services to current and potential clients. This full-time field Sales Representative position is responsible for meeting or exceeding established program targets within a given geographical territory.

We expect you to be able to to learn and comprehend complex medical and scientific information , maximize client brand, achieve daily sales call activities and client deliverables by gaining access to decision makers and influencing physician product usage.

You will be primarily responsible for selling the full range of Patient Monitoring products in assigned accounts and region in a professional manner to hospitals and related healthcare professionals. Next to that, you will be responsible for the management of quality and consistency of product and service delivery. You will build strong ethical business relationships with customers to ensure usage of our products and gain greater market share, leading through clinical selling. We expect you to be able to cooperate and coordinate activities with Key Account Management team and the other divisions within Medtronic in order to maximize business opportunities.

We offer you a position where you are responsible for achieving the committed objectives in the Minimally Invasive Therapies Group business by promoting and selling our medical devices for Patient Monitoring and Recovery. Medtronic’s PMR division consists of a comprehensive line of products designed to help medical professionals to enhance patient care and improve clinical performance.

Some of the division’s major products include: brain monitoring system, capnography monitoring, cerebral/ somatic/ pulse oximetry, health informatics and monitoring , OEM monitoring solutions/ platforms.

You are able to communicate persuasively, demonstrate product knowledge, display knowledge of key customers, deliver customized presentations and organize events based on customer’s needs.

In this role you contribute to building strong relationships and customer loyalty.

You are responsible for managing business complexity and administrative duties, including pre-call planning, territory management and strategic planning.

We expect you to have sales experience or equivalent success in a relevant outside business to business sales environment. In this position you will fulfill a number of tasks in the field of sales management, ranging from market analyses and developing sales strategies to performing sales activities such as product introductions.

Furthermore it will be your responsibility to train and educate relevant hospital staff, and to maintain and acquire knowledge on new product, technologies, markets, sales tools and processes.

Other responsibilities include :

  • preparing presentations, proposals and sales contracts
  • coordinating with other PMR teams where needed
  • positively impacting sales in territory and creating passionate customers
  • analyzing and acting upon sales data within geography
  • consistent track record of quantifiable sales accomplishments

Must Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree (in Engineering, Life Sciences, Marketing, Business Administration or Biology/ preferably in the medical area)
  • Demonstrated track record of sales (3 to 5 years), preferably in the medical device industry. Optional: experience in the hospital as the nursing/ anaesthesiology
  • Experience in solution offering to a highly educated, high profile customer base
  • Documented track record of sales performance in a dynamic, competitive environment preferred
  • High motivation, enthusiastic attitude, being comfortable with change and growth, technical aptitude
  • Excellent organizational , interpersonal, persuasive , communication and negotiation skills
  • Fluency in Dutch and very good level of English
  • Strong computer skills ( Outlook, Word, Excel)

Nice to Haves

  • Previous experience with brain monitoring, capnography or ventilation equipment is highly beneficial
  • Fortitude to sell and compete
  • Good level of French language
  • Located in Southern or Central Netherlands
