The job

Only you can prevent errors in our software. Before any coding goes through to production, you have seen it, you have tested it and you have approved it. That is why they call you the ‘king/queen of testing’.

We ask you to come join our web development scrum team. The team is counting on you to keep the complete overview of our software landscape. And to add structure to our testing activities. In more detail: You set guidelines for testing and use them together with your developers. You are familiar with the test pyramid and the tests that take place in the different layers. And you are also familiar with applying test automation. You always keep your team informed of what will be automated, where and when. You are the one always asking the important questions to make sure we are prepared for any bug or error in the software. You not only test in a browser, but you test isolated and directly with the services, databases and components. You share your knowledge and experience with the team and thus contribute to the improvement of our daily work.

With your help, processes are streamlined, results are well documented and learning experiences are shared. This way we get better at what we do every day and we ensure the ultimate shopping-experience for our customers now and in the future.

As Agile Tester, make an impact at Albert Heijn by:

  • testing our software and learning from the outcomes.
  • continuously assessing the quality of our software.
  • being curious and asking critical questions like ‘what risks are there if this goes to production?’ and ‘are there possible problems with the solutions we are building?’.
  • intercepting possible threats and weaknesses in the software.
  • coordinating with your team about what needs to be done and sharing your findings based on facts.
  • enabling your team to grow together and add value to the business.

Your new office

As Agile Tester you work at Albert Heijn, part of Ahold Delhaize. Albert Heijn is the number one food retailer in the Netherlands. We have been inspiring customers and building trust for more than 130 years. We like to say, “we are always there for you”. And with more than 1.000 stores in the Netherlands and Belgium and 24/7 shopping on ah.nl, this is truer than ever! But now we want to take our business to the next level. By making better food accessible to everyone – and making shopping fit the way people live today.

By joining our team, you will be part of AH Technology, where you can make your mark on the daily lives of millions of people. At AH Technology, our smart professionals are creating digital solutions that make (online) shopping simpler and more inspiring. Constantly rethinking the way people shop, pay and even enjoy food. That’s why we’re investing heavily in data, tech and digital. To transform from a supermarket into a leading food and technology company. So that as customers’ lives change, so can we.

Are you wondering whom to co-work with? As an Agile Tester for AH Digital Development, a business unit within AH Technology, you work in the head office of Ahold Delhaize in Zaandam. You will become part of our web development scrum team. Together you contribute to the objectives of AH Digital Development and you always keep your focus on our customers wants and needs. The working environment is open and informal. There is a high tech gaming room available for your much needed moments of relaxation. And we organize events on a regular basis where you can get to know your colleagues even better.

What do we offer?

At Albert Heijn we want to grow. That is only possible if you grow with us. That is why you can go in all directions with us career-wise and in your personal development. While we work together to build our brand and your career, you can count on (based on 40 hours a week):

  • a gross monthly salary up to € 3.950,-.
  • flexible working hours and the possibility to work from home.
  • a very good pension plan with a personal contribution of 5.3%.

  • holiday pay, to take a well-deserved holiday.
  • the opportunity to attend training courses at our expense.
  • a guaranteed profit distribution.
  • attractive discounts on various insurance policies.
  • a laptop and telephone.
  • 10% discount on your groceries in our Albert Heijn stores, up to € 300 per year.
  • regularly fun promotions and delicious tastings with free products.
