What you’ll be doing

At Devonport, our 6,000-strong business based out of Plymouth is a strategic partner of the MOD and the Royal Navy. We undertake 100% of submarine refits as well as 75% of UK surface fleet refits and 50% of fleet maintenance work. As a result, we’re looking to recruit talented, enthusiastic and driven people to join our team. We have opportunities across a variety of disciplines including Engineering, Science, Computer Science and Project Management. You will undertake at least 3 placements across the business which will provide exposure to the many different workstreams across the site. You will also have the opportunity to work with multiple teams and gain real insight into our business.

What you’ll get out of it

During your time with us, we’ll help you develop a variety of skills and give you a chance to work with supportive and knowledgeable professionals, giving you a wider variety of experiences for you to take back to university.

What you’ll need

You’ll need to be studying a relevant degree, preferably accredited, with a keen interest in project management and heading for a minimum of a 2:2 degree. Successful candidates will also need to satisfy the MOD’s security requirements (and may need to complete a medical assessment).
