Maersk Technology are growing significantly and are now recruiting for an Analyst to join our successful team working with APM Terminals, in the Hague office. As part of Maersk, APM Terminals operates one of the world’s most comprehensive port and integrated inland service networks.

Key responsibilities

  • Working closely with programmers and project teams to identify, quantify, track and report the benefits and cost savings
  • Supporting the production of the overarching benefits management approach for the programmer and ensure this is well articulated, documented and understood by senior stakeholders
  • Participate in the vendor selection process for new applications
  • Translate the business requirements into detailed functional requirements
  • Gathering functional requirement for application development /enhancement etc. and advising on the final requirements specification
  • Carrying out complex business process mapping, business process reengineering, and business process analysis wherever needed
  • Providing recommendations to the business on solutions, considering any cross-functional impact
  • Creating a strategy for designing and implementing new business processes
  • Ensuring the right level of functional knowledge in the technical team
  • Reviewing and approving UAT scenarios and training materials
  • Delivering training on new processes and solutions for the business
  • Final sign-off for the technology side for user testing
  • Reviewing testing approach and materials to ensure business requirements are met
  • Assisting in Third Line Support of production issue resolution as it pertains to business processes
  • Auditing business blueprint/design documents for configuration readiness

We are looking for

We would like to speak to candidates with the following background and skills:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in business analysis or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing a benefits realisation approach and implementing across diverse organisations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and highly complex environment and develop a comprehensive understanding of strategic objectives and challenges
  • Exposure to business case preparation and benefits realisation highly advantageous
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across the organisation
  • Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • A track record of following through on commitments.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
