Duration: 6 months

This internship assignment is not suitable to perform your thesis. We require a 40-hour per week presence to support us with the project.

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Be part of an international agile team and play an important role in designing the best consumer experiences on our Philips owned properties like, Philips.com, and our CRM acquisition & engagement programs.

You are responsible for

  • Translation of the existing Atomics UI framework and Adobe Experience Manager web component libraries to Design System – Design Kit (Sketch app format), including responsive behavior and text/layer styles
  • Documentation of Design System library components in Confluence according to the defined templates and guidelines
  • Maintenance of the Design System – Design token library to support the single source of truth between design and development

The Digital UX team is part of Philips Experience Design and aims to set direction and support Philips on all aspects of digital media in marketing; activation, commerce, engagement and marketing innovation. We seek to build the best brand experiences throughout the entire consumer and customer decision journey. We are a growing team of around 30 world-class designers who work in multiple squads & tribes together with our digital marketing & e-commerce colleagues. You will be part of a highly agile, insight-led, analytical, digitally savvy and networked community of professionals, with clearly defined roles and responsibilities to maximize impact.

You will be working at our Head Office based in Amsterdam.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Studying towards your University Bachelor in Science (Bsc.) or Master in Science (Msc.) degree in: Digital Design or Media Design
  • Comfortable (to say the least) working with Sketch App
  • Familiar with the Design Language System concept
  • Familiar with HTML markup language and CSS style sheet language
  • Ability and Willingness to learn fast
  • High degree of attention to detail (pixel perfect)
  • Strong communication skill in verbal and written English
