THE ROLE

In this role the Project Coordinator will be part of our Store Development Project Team and will have a special focus on the new Travel retail and SIS concept, ensuring a high level of execution and strong brand image.

He/ she is responsible for the entire process, from the initial kick- off, layout definition up to final realization, acting as point of reference for all involved parties, internal and external to the company. It is exciting and dynamic role due to simultaneous coordination of several projects. It encourages creativity and ‘thinking outside the box’ while managing restriction and regulations of Department Stores and Airports.

He/she needs to assure that each project is aligned with Company’s expectations, assuring its quality, cost and opening within the expected time frame. Maintaining a good relationship and proactive approach with all partners, as well as other involved parties, is a key.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead store development projects with a special focus on the roll out the new Travel Retail and SIS concept.
  • Coordinate the project through all phases, from studying the feasibility of projects, layout development, permit application, up to final hand-over and opening.
  • Manage the processes between internal parties (Retail team and Wholesale team) and a Department store/ Airport, acting as a main point of reference internal and external to the company
  • Coordinate development of the project among all stakeholders: retail, wholesale, merchandizing and VM department.
  • Review construction drawings to ensure consistency with projects and concept, from preliminary submission up to construction and shop drawings.
  • Quality control and visit of the construction sites.
  • Handling the bidding process and coordination with suppliers.
  • Budget and time schedule control.
  • Execute final inspection before opening, to ensure quality requirements and create punch list.
  • Lead post- project analysis and discussions. Identify opportunities and strive for continual process improvement.

THE PROFILE:

  • Experience in retail industry is essential.
  • About 4+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Candidate must be familiar with Department stores and Travel retail across EMEA region.
  • Degree in Architecture/ Interior design. Technical knowledge required.
  • Ability for creative proposals and project development in AutoCAD.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Good organization and planning skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a multi-tasking, fast paced environment.
  • Ability to work in an international environment with a possibility for traveling.
  • Proficiency in English. Spanish is highly valued.
  • The position, comprehensive to all described duties reports directly to Senior Store Design and Development Manager.
