Job Description

About us

Inter IKEA Group brings together three core businesses (divisions): Franchise, Range & Supply and Industry. Together we work constantly to improve the IKEA home furnishing offer and make it more accessible for the many people.

Our aim is to provide our partners in the franchise system with the best conditions to implement and operate the IKEA Concept, and to create a strong foundation for future expansion and growth. Read more about us at here.

We offer an open working environment where everyone feels comfortable to experiment, try new ways and dare to ask: “What if…?” And we offer possibilities for you to develop yourself and your career globally.

About the role

You will join a new team which just started to build the internal audit function of the future and work directly with the Global Head of Internal Audit and other IA leaders. You have the opportunity to co-develop and apply an IA approach that is innovative, steps away from traditional ways of working and embraces agility and simplicity. You will be an active contributor to our journey of creating a better everyday life for the many people by providing valuable insights on the emerging risks that our company is facing.

Part of your role is auditing programs and projects that are part of the IKEA transformational journey. By being pro-actively involved throughout the life cycle of the transformational programs and being forward looking you will be a business partner for program and project management in their journey to successfully deliver their project and programs. You will take responsibility for the preparation, execution and reporting of internal audits while guiding the teams in the field. Since this is a new role in a new team, you understand that changes in responsibilities may arise over time.

About you

You share and live the IKEA culture and values, have a genuine interest in home furnishing and have working experience in European companies and similar industry (retail franchise, consumer goods supply chain).

You are a passionate and hands-on professional with a thorough experience in governance, project and program management, risk management, internal control and/or (internal) audit and you have between 6-10 years of proven experience in one or more of these fields of expertise. You finalized a university degree and ideally a post-master qualification in the field of (internal) audit.

You understand transformational risks. You have experience in delivering and/or auditing transformational change projects and have a thorough knowledge of how to manage project and program risks that could jeopardize its successful delivery.

You are humble, straight forward and curious. You are driven by content and at the same time highly value good relationships. You have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling you to describe complex issues in a structured and comprehensive but simple way. You are proficient in English.

You are not afraid of doing things differently. You like to get to the bottom of things and don't mind asking probing questions if it helps to achieve the right outcome. You do not lose yourself in the technicalities of auditing, but master a pragmatic way of thinking and working.

You are a down-to-earth leader. An open minded team player with the ability to build trustful relationships. You enjoy working in a vibrant and changing multi-dimensional environment and are happy to travel.
