Functional Support Specialist – Finance (Heineken Netherlands Supply)

We are looking for a functional support specialist who is an expert in translating needs related to our (financial) business processes into IT solutions, and embedding these solutions in our organization. You will be the end-2-end domain expert on financial processes and corresponding IT solutions. Predominantly within our SAP environment. You will advise the business process owner (BPO) on our business processes and IT changes that help us to improve, and will act as delegated-BPO as well.

Your role

As the functional support specialist you are in between of the end-users of the application (predominantly finance colleagues, within our operating company and our shared service center), the owner of the application, our IT department, and our 3rd party supplier of SAP consultants (IBM).

You are supportive in case of incidents, and ensure the end-users and all other stakeholders are well informed.

In case of inefficiencies in processes or business change, you collaborate with the end-users in finding the right (IT-)solutions to mitigate or support the issues and changes. You will translate business needs into business requirement documents. You will translate the business needs into IT solutions, both on operational and tactical level.

You take ownership and you ensure the solution will be implemented correctly and within a reasonable amount of time – together with our IT department and 3rd party supplier.

This includes an proper impact analysis, creation of training materials, providing training sessions, developing and managing a testing plan, own the acceptance procedures, and provide and coordinate the right after-care).

You ensure that documentation and user manuals are in place and up-to-date.

You will be involved in bigger and smaller projects that touch our processes and/or IT systems, and will both challenge and support the initiatives that will be raised.

Last but not least, you will support the business process owner on process and IT changes and act as the delegated BPO when needed.

Your department

As the Functional Support Specialist you will report to the Manager Reporting & Accounting of Heineken Netherlands Supply. The team furthermore consists of 5 financial controllers and R&A specialists. Your position is based in Zoeterwoude.

Within other Opcos and departments a similar role exists where you can share experiences and best practices with.

Your profile

For this role we are looking for an experienced functional support specialist with strong communication skills who likes to improve our financial business processes with IT solutions.

Therefore, the ideal candidate has:

  • A Master’s degree.
  • 3-5 years of relevant working experience.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English.
  • Creative skills, able to ‘think out of the box’.
  • Socially skilled at levels of the organization.
  • Proven track record in Project management.
  • Knowledge of SAP is required, expertise in the financial modules is a strong pre.
  • Experience with testing and acceptance of systems.
