Creative Director, Brand Communications
Job description
Looking to make industry-defining creative work for the most disruptive hospitality brand? Our unique in-house creative studio is responsible for all brand touchpoints across our physical, digital and spiritual spaces. We’re looking for an experienced creative director to join the team to drive our creative vision and deliver outstanding work that makes a positive impact.
Why you’ll love working here
We live in a world where everything is changing – from the way we travel to how we study, live and work. But one thing remains constant: our need to connect. We believe in creating a fun, creative and inspiring environment where everyone can learn, stay, work and play. How do we achieve it? Through our exceptional international team of lively, smart and motivated people that embrace the student spirit and bring it to life every day.
We have big plans. By 2023, we aim to have 65 locations across Europe. That’s 26,000 rooms and almost one million square metres of shared spaces. Beyond bricks and mortar, our new TSHLife app and digital platform is also ready to connect nearly a million current and former co-living and co-working guests. In 2019, we’re in a phase of hyper growth. After opening 12 operational hotels in our scale-up phase, we’re evolving into an industry-leading company – redefining the concept of a hotel as the world knows it.
Why we need you
As a natural and inspiring creative thought leader, we are looking for someone to build the creative vision for our brand communications. This involves setting the creative direction and safeguarding consistency of all communication of the brand from online to on-property, according to brand standards. We’re always looking for an opportunity to stand-out from our competition, with an aim to be seen as a leader in the co-living/co-working industry.
We’re looking for someone to work internally with the team with various creative disciplines ranging from graphic designers to copywriters, video editors and project managers, as well as liaise with other departments and external partners to improve quality across all existing and future TSH brand communications.
As a part of The Student Hotel brand and innovation team, which ultimately defines the heart and soul of The Student Hotel, the brand communications creative director will report directly to the chief brand officer. As a proven conceptual thinker, we’re looking for a leader with bold creative ideation and exceptional design to deliver brand awareness and commercial success for our products and services.
What you’ll be doing to make it happen
Requirements
Who are you?
We’re looking for an inspiring leader, able to motivate teams in achieving creative goals. As a solution-driven creative thinker with an eye for the bigger picture, you show a strong understanding of feasibility within given budgetary and design briefs and constraints. You’re comfortable presenting concepts, explaining creative strategies and sharing ideas to a diverse audience – followed by an awesome way to combine conceptual, creative and strategic thinking with tactical execution.
Background
What do we offer you?
We want everyone to feel welcome and respected, and we go the extra mile to create a complete connected community. Our teams are diverse, representing more than one nationality, gender, religion, age, culture and personality. That’s what makes our team so special.
The Social Hub is much more than a hotel. In our boundary-blurring spaces we bring together a new generation of bold change-makers to connect, learn, stay, work, and play. Creating memorable experiences for our community of hotel guests, students, creatives, enterprising minds and anyone in between.
