Job Summary

The Head of Imagine Solutions Delivery has overall responsibility for everything related to Imagine solution delivery. The role is primarily concerned with ensuring first class service delivery and ensuring that all activities undertaken by the technical and development teams within the Imagine delivery are completed to the highest of standards. It is expected that this role will regularly review working practices and processes and will align with the latest technology changes introduced by our imagine product team. This role will also liaise closely with K3’s other product teams ensuring impact and dependency of product on project is understood and managed.

This role carries responsibility for directing the team to achieve both revenue and performance targets and budgets.

In addition to the above, the role will involve focusing on improving quality for the relevant teams. The quality initiative will cover projects, products, services and general skill sets of consultants.

Another key element of the role is to ensure the consultants follow the best practices that have been agreed and laid out by senior management. These best practices will include business processes, project governance and quality standards. The role will also be heavily involved with improving and building on the K3 delivery methodologies.

The Head of Solutions Delivery Imagine reports directly to the Director Solutions Delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Detailed understanding of client issues and build credibility with the client at mid/senior management level.
  • Mentoring and educating consultants within the Imagine delivery team to adopt best standards and methodologies in relation to Imagine.
  • Managing and improving best practice methodologies and approach for developing for Imagine and integrating with 3rd party applications for customer and K3 projects.
  • Assist in bringing together the major deliverables and workstreams to affect an integrated solution.
  • Mentor and guide more junior resources.
  • Understand and adhere to K3’s implementation methodology
  • Contribute to scope and risk management, working with the project manager, functional solution architect, technical architect and lead consultant to ensure the project delivers to time, cost and quality.
  • Problem solving – validate hypotheses and diagnostics from other team members, testing insights and recommendations from the team with senior management internally and externally.
  • Involvement in presales to help shape the technical requirements as understood at the ITT stage of a new opportunity – this will include:
  • analysing requirements
  • identifying gaps
  • envisaging and owning the proposed IMAGINE solution
  • assisting in the provision of accurate phasing and timescales
  • assisting in the provision of accurate cost estimates
  • Contribute to the planning, shaping and development of client proposals.
  • Carrying out quality review of output from Analysis Phase workshops and supporting the fit-gap analysis process
  • Ensure quality internal and external client-oriented documentation is always produced.
  • Present at senior meetings in relation to either internal or external projects and solutions.
  • Ability to conduct impact analysis of design decisions on overall integrated solution.
  • Play a lead role in the ongoing improvement in K3’s implementation methodology.

  • Developing and improving templates for implementations

Skills & Experience

You will have a suitable educational background in computer science ideally up to a degree level or equivalent in a related subject or have significant experience in service delivery and/or development in a management role. You will need a good command of written and spoken English.

  • proven your ability to work as a team and develop and deliver software
  • Experience with the retail industry, Docker, Scrum, unit testing, Jira and microservices is considered a plus but not essential
