Bouygues UK is seeking to recruit a Document Controller on an educational project. This is an exciting opportunity based in the Vale of Glamorgan.
Job Purpose and Scope:
Responsible to assist the Document Controller with the efficient control of documentation and administrative processes in accordance with Project Specific and Company Procedures.
Accountabilities and keys tasks:
-To assist the Document Controller in managing the administrative processes of the project design, with regards to Technical Documents.
-Assist with administering the Data Base including updating folders structure, custom fields, list of users, workflows, as per the project requirements.
-Assist with granting access to the project team members to the database within the agreed and verified security roles, ensuring that they have the appropriate level of permissions and that they are familiar with the required procedures and protocols upon logging into the software.
-Keep up to date the Project Matrices, List of Authorised Codes and Templates, to reflect the latest changes..
-Dispatch project reports to the relevant team members and other parties, as requested.
-Create electronic notifications to the relevant team members and other parties via the database of any project documentation being approved and ready for further use.
-Assist in organising the printing of hard copies of the approved documents.
-Assist with submitting the approved As-Built drawings for inclusion in H&S Files and Operational & Maintenance Manuals.

Essential and Desirable Criteria:
-Good all round Document Control knowledge
-Good IT skills (MS Office)
-Capacity to work effectively within a team environment
-Systematic problem solving ability
-Organisational skills (prioritising tasks, respecting deadlines, methodical work)
-Previous experience with Viewpoint (4Projects) / Asite (predominantly) -Familiar with various web based document management systems
