Pfizer entered the Oncology Biosimilars market and has already a pipeline of products which will be launched in 2020. In preparation for these launches, we need to define the product strategy, understand the market dynamics for each molecule, identify customers’ needs and fine tune Pfizers’ product proposition.
What can I achieve and what will I be responsible for whilst completing a placement at Pfizer?
Working within these department, you will have the opportunity to work on different stages of a products’ life cycle, from the launch to the maintenance of mature brands. This requires an interaction with several departments, and you will have the opportunity to work and potentially steer the cross functional team activities.
This specific part of the market, which is becoming important for Pfizer, is fully connected with Global Team. There is frequent interaction with New York Headquarters, whilst also collaborating with other Countries.
The analysis of the market dynamics in the UK is crucial, as the NHS guidelines are driving the future of this market, and it should be translated in Pfizer strategies and forecast expectations. Together with this, support on marketing activities, like promotional materials, is required. This will give you the opportunity to learn the Compliance rules and to interact with additional company departments dedicated to this and with external agencies.
When it is needed, an additional opportunity could be within the Digital sector which gives the opportunity to reach wider groups of customers in an effective way. This offers the opportunity to see how large pharmaceutical companies use modern tools still under evolution.
