Kennedys is looking to recruit a fee earner based in our Manchester office to join our liability team. The successful candidate will ideally have pre and post issue EL & PL experience across fast/multi tracks and be able to deal with liability and quantum issues.

Team

Kennedys’ Manchester Liability Team handle pre and post litigation work including small claims, fast and multi-track employers’ and public liability claims. They also advise on motor liability matters involving road traffic incidents, disease matters, contract/indemnity, and product liability across all sectors.

Clients

  • The Manchester liability team’s clients are predominantly Insurers and self-insuring corporations.

Cases

The team has particular expertise in handling claims within the rail, retail, manufacturing, leisure and transport/logistics sectors.

  • Catastrophic personal injury
  • Employers’ Liability
  • Public Liability
  • Product Liability
  • Motor and policy issues

Required experience

  • 0-2 years’ experience of involvement in EL & PL claims*
  • Experience of running own caseload of files
  • Valuing personal injury claims
  • Instructing experts and taking witness statements. Preparing lists of documents
  • Experience of arbitration and negotiation. Attendance at court
  • Attendance of meetings/conferences and minute taking
  • Previous client contact and attendance at business development events.
