What does our Operations Graduate Programme look like?

As an Arriva Graduate, you’ll complete a 24-month programme which is designed to develop your skillset in order to become one of our future leaders. During the programme, you will be given exposure into different business areas through strategic rotations, giving you a unique insight into our business and allowing you to work with a range of our inspiring leaders across the business.

Working as an Operations Graduate with Arriva, you’ll be involved in various operationally based projects and tasks including:

  • Management and day to day running of a Depot
  • Exposure to Multi Modal Transport solutions
  • Forward thinking projects considering environmental impact of the transport industry
  • Rotations within various business functions including HR, Finance, Engineering and Business Transformation.

After successfully completing the Arriva Operations Graduate Programme, you will be in a position to begin applying for leadership roles within the business, and we will work with you to find a suitable position within the Arriva network.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for curious and forward-thinking graduates who hold a high degree of self-motivation to join our vibrant and well-established Operations Graduate programme. To be successful in your application to join our Graduate Scheme, you’ll need:

  • To have, or be expecting a minimum 2:1 degree in a relevant discipline, preferably a Transport / Logistics related course
  • To be ambitious – constantly question the norm and provide new ideas
  • The flexibility to be nationally / internationally mobile
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage at all levels internally and externally within a diverse multi-cultural environment.
  • To be results driven with an innovative mindset – as one of our future leaders you’ll need to drive operational excellence.
  • To see feedback and setbacks as opportunities to learn and improve
