Do you want to become our first-ever QA Engineer? And are you looking for a job at a fast-growing scale-up, that offers you a lot of freedom and responsibility? Then join ParkBee and become part of our mobility revolution.

Up to 15% of major city’s space is used for on-street parking. At the same time, a lot of indoor parking spots remain empty. At ParkBee we are on a mission to change that. We develop smart tech solutions to get parked cars off the street. Currently, we are developing a cloud-based service to integrate our booking system with third-party applications such as Parkmobile, Park-line, and RingGo.

Job Description

At ParkBee our products consist of pay per minute integrations, booking systems and individual subscriptions. We have also recently developed an entire cloud-based data infrastructure and a dynamic pricing solution. Our software is currently serving hundreds of thousands of users in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, and we expect this number to grow even further.

To make sure we provide the optimal product to the market, we need to continuously invest in technology and innovation. As our first QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our development, since ParkBee’s product is constantly evolving. You will set up best-quality practices, to make sure our platform runs smoothly. Together with 9 other co-workers, you will be part of the tech team.

As part of the product team your responsibilities will include:

  • Clarifying requirements, estimating and prioritising testing activities, identifying and reporting defects.
  • Writing automations for all the important product flows.
  • Implementing automated tests and working together with operations to make it a part of our CI/CD process. You will also be validating requests from other teams here.
  • Creating more stickiness for users, decreasing the number of bugs to have a more stable system.
  • Frequently providing the team with test cases.
  • Discovering and researching, setting up new test cases from scratch, thinking about our product and formulating a vision.

Who we’re looking for:

We are in search of someone that is flexible, curious and has a proactive mindset. You also need to be passionate about QA automation, and ready to join a hardworking environment, willing to be a part of a team. At ParkBee, we are not just a bunch of people working together, we have a genuine connection together and want to make a difference, so we are looking for someone who feels the same.

We’re likely to be a match, if you:

  • Have at least 2+ years of working experience as a QA engineer;
  • Know how to test APIs and web applications;
  • Have a strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes;
  • Having experience with testing distributed systems is a plus;
  • Are fluent with at least one programming language;
  • Have a thorough knowledge of Agile and Scrum;
  • Possess fluent English language skills.

What you’ll get in return:

  • The opportunity to make a huge impact on our product and our growth;
  • A competitive base salary based on your experience;
  • You’ll participate and receive virtual shares;
  • Time for personal development with an allocated budget to grow;
  • A very diverse team: we currently have 11 nationalities on board at ParkBee;
  • Regular team events & Friday drinks;
  • Daily delicious lunch.
