Job Mission

As a Cable Preparation Design Engineer you will be part of Electronic Development (EDEV) department which is responsible for specifying, defining, realizing, integrating and qualifying electronic functions and modules of various ASML products as well as helping customers to design their facilities for these products to be installed. By performing various tasks mentioned in job description below, you will contribute to the collective goals and deliverables of the department.

Job Description

The Cable Preparation Design Engineer is responsible for the following:

  • Act as the Electronic Development representative in a multidisciplinary design team
  • Define, document and maintain designs of electrical modules and electrical infrastructure
  • Make work breakdown and effort estimation for various electronics products
  • Manage outsourcing of development activities at co-developers
  • Transfer knowledge to production- and service-engineers
  • Create and update documents regarding factory and facility impact towards internal and external customers
  • Develop and maintain Electrical data and hardwire that needs to be installed at customer factories before ASML machines are shipped (known as pre-install)
  • Early involvement in Development & Engineering projects to secure pre-install requirements, including manufacturability and serviceability
  • Interact intensively with various stakeholders such as Manufacturing and Equipment engineering, Software development, Electro-mechanical engineering, Integrators, architect, Factory preparation, Supply chain and customer support colleagues

Education

Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

Experience

  • 0 - 2 years of experience as designer of electronic functions
  • Experience of working in multidisciplinary design teams is a plus
  • Broad technical knowledge and interest of electronics, cabling, mains, safety and basic understanding of local and global regulations and standards

The sector Development & Engineering (D&E) of ASML is responsible for the specification, design and realization of the products in the ASML portfolio. Within the sector D&E the department Electronic Development (EL) is responsible for the definition, realization, qualification and integration of electronic functions and modules within these products.
