Are you eligible to apply?
You’ll need a minimum of Level 2/GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language & Maths, and three A-levels, 5 Highers or equivalent. You'll also be studying for an honours degree (in any subject) that includes a one-year placement and you’re in your penultimate year of university.
What’s it like?
Simrath did her homework before deciding EY was the Big Four company she wanted to work for. Find out what won her over.
How’s it structured?
Developing your understanding of local and international tax laws is at the heart of this programme. After an EY induction you’ll join your team in Financial Service (FS) Direct Tax. Throughout the year, you’ll take up a variety of client work including technical research into areas of tax legislation, commercial research into new clients, attending and taking notes of client meetings and calls, as well as report writing and meetings.
There’ll be lots of development opportunities, informal technical training sessions to discuss new legislation with your team and you’ll have a counsellor who’ll keep in touch about your career development too. Do a great job and you may be offered a place on the team once you’ve finished uni.
